1 1/3 c. dried apricots
½ c. margarine
½ c. granulated sugar
2 ½ c. baking mix (e.g. Bisquik)
2 c. brown sugar (packed)
4 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. baking mix
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Powdered sugar

In saucepan, cover apricots with water.  Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered 10 min.  Drain, cook, chop.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Cut margarine into granulated sugar and 2 ½ c. baking mix.  Pat in ungreased jelly roll pan (15 ½” x 10 ½”X 1”).  Bake until light brown, about 10 min.

Beat brown sugar and eggs.  Stir in apricots, 2/3 c. baking mix, vanilla and nuts.  Spread over baked layer.  Bake 30 min. longer.  Cool completely; sprinkle with powdered sugar.  Cut into 2” x 1” bars.
